Convention 2018

Postby AHolley » Thu Apr 12, 2018 3:34 am

All,

I was the lucky winner a the 2nd place prize form last years convention. I have been awarded a full convention class package at Notional Harbor. Can anyone offer me any advice around getting my Institution to cover my travel and lodging? It would be great if they would pay me too! However, I would be willing to use personal time to attend and get some more great education.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Respectfully,

I'd start out by telling your employer how much they already saved in class tuition and try to build off of that. Then let them know that there will also be active shooter training exclusively for AIL members.

I've always found it more then a little sad that higher education institutions find little value in training their own in-house service personnel.
